Pastor Ryan Whisel arrived at Paddletown St. Paul’s UMC in July of 2021. After graduating from Messiah College (now University) in 2012, he spent several years ministering to students as a youth pastor. In early 2018 he was invited and accepted the call to pursue pastoral ministry further. He is currently working to complete his Masters of Divinity through United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH). His passions in ministry include building relationships, forming community, and growing together in the Lord. Romans 12 has always been the lens through which he pursues the work God has called him to. Pastor Ryan is married to his wonderful wife Courtney and has a stepson named Jonah as well as a son named Elijah. The family is rounded out by two spoiled cats named Samson and Dexter. Some of Pastor Ryan’s favorite hobbies include trivia nights, music, and fishing.
